Handbook for Non-Violent Activism (FDTD)

The full handbook is on:  http://www.aeinstein.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/FDTD.pdf

And the explanation why Gene Sharp wrote it is on:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Dictatorship_to_Democracy

Core idea is that disobedience to the dictator and his central power elite & troops, is more effective than any physical weapons. The dictator and his crew keeps power only when they are being obeyed. If not they are powerless. Do not be provoked to use force against them. That is exactly what they want. And prepare for the situation when the powerful have fled. A constructive plan must be implemented and fast.

It has been translated into 30 other languages too. It is know to have been used in Burma, countries of the former Jugoslavia and Egypt.

Achtung: Please beware that people working for some very repressing regimes know this handbook too. So you may not be able to surprise them. It has even happened that brave protestors in Iran have been sentenced by a judge quoting “FDTD #x” as cause of arrest.

Non violence massively employed is more potent than violence ! Good Idea’s are more powerful than bullets.
