The proposal of the UK government to let not only phone conversations, faxes and emails be “supervised” by the services, but also messages on social media Twitter, Facebook, etc., ALL of them and in Real Time, reminds me of Iran and China. This proposal shows that H.M. government considers all of its subjects to be suspects.
This law, if passed by Parliament, would be a victory for the terrorists. Their objective was to spread terror, angst and suspicion to harm our society, remember?
And whatever the services and their expensive & powerful computer surveillance do it wil never be effective since Ashby Law of requisite variety will kick in. The only way out of that is to make society simpler and less alive: a frozen dictatorship like North Korea. Is that what is what the UK parliament wants??
